This is a new year and a new season. Sometimes things have to change and must take place in our lives for us to walk in our designated purpose. As the saying goes, “When one door closes another door opens.” I am reading a book called the Esther Anointing, written by Michelle McClain-Walter. Here is a quote from the book that I would like to share with you.
“Esther had a winsomeness that caused people to gather toward her. Webster’s Dictionary says, “Winsomeness is being pleasant, delightful, attractive in a sweet engaging way. A person who is winsome draws you to them. Esther obtained favor with Hagai that caused her to be promoted as queen.”
This winsome favor of Esther is what God used in order to save the Persian Jewish people from certain death. Before Esther became the queen of Persia, she was an orphan and adopted by her cousin Mordecai because her parents passed away when she was a little girl. I am sure when she was a young girl she would never have dreamed that she would one day become a queen. But God gave Esther everything she needed to fulfill her purpose; all the people, talents and attributes that she needed to advance His kingdom on earth. It didn’t matter that others around her weren’t serving God. It didn’t matter that there were other women who were competing for the job and it certainly didn’t matter that Esther had people in high places that wanted to destroy her people. If you don’t know this story, Esther is one of my favorite books in the Bible. Please take some time to read this story of planned tragedy by the enemy yet was overcame by Gods ordained triumph. The point is, like Esther, God will use your tragedies and unlikely circumstances for His glory and honor by using the talents and gifting‘s that He gave you for His purposes here on earth. Do you see where I am going with this? You may not be a queen or king on this earth but you are alive in 2018 for Gods kingdom purposes. Revelation 1:5-6
The Holy Spirit has been speaking to me for a month now about 2018 being a year of open doors and corridor of doors thereafter. For doors to be opened, the body of Christ must have God’s favor and a winsomeness like anointing on each believer. Today, in a text message, I told my friend Tina that she was winsome and then I recognized a keyword when I told her this. I realized that the word “winsome” has to do with winning. If God is with you, then you can’t lose, right? To have a winsomeness is the God kind of favor; to be victorious at everything you are called to do in this time that is ordained by God.
Isn’t it exciting to know that you are called to do something great for the kingdom of God? It’s also important to point out that God already has a plan and purposed to anoint you to do it! All you have to do recognize the giftings you already have and ask God to anoint you with His favor. You might be thinking, “How do I know my giftings?” Think about it like this, if you really like to do something and have a natural talent, typically this is your calling and purpose.
Example: If you like to write. Write a book, write poetry, write business documents or do editing for other writers. If you like to teach children. Start working with children and go to school to become a teacher. If you like to coach. Start a team or work with someone who already has an established team that needs your wisdom and favor in that sport. God has already given you the desire and talent. It’s what you do with it that will open those doors purposed for you. Then you will become a catalyst for others; advancing the kingdom of God for His good will and purpose.
I declare over you these same winsome attributes that Esther obtained to accomplish everything God has planned for you and yours this year. Start declaring daily that doors and corridor of doors be opened to you with Gods favor upon you. He will give you everything you need to accomplish the tasks set before you.
“The maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness from him. He quickly gave her cosmetics and her portions of food, and the seven choice maidens who were to be given her out of the king’s house. He moved her and her maidens to the best place in the women’s house.” Esther 2:9
I truly believe that the Body of Christ is ready to walk through many open doors this year. Doors that will change the world and advance the Kingdom of God. Some doors may seem impossible to open at first but we serve the God of the impossible. What seems impossible to the world, is possible for you because you are highly favored with winning favor, for such a time as this.
May Gods hand of favor rest upon you in 2018.
