In my morning time with the Lord, the Holy Spirit took me to Lamentations chapter 3. Jeremiah was known to be the crying prophet, and in this chapter, he was crying out to the Lord to help him and the nation of Israel. His enemies had thrown him into a pit to die and his beloved nation was being overtaken and destroyed. But when he cried out to the Lord, God came through and he was rescued.
Often, our own choices or the choices of others can cause great heartache and sometimes even destruction. When we are waiting on God to answer our prayers, it isn’t always a quick fix. Especially when others are involved. It can take months, if not years, to see the fulfillment of God‘s promise of restoration.
Jeremiah said it best in verses 22-24 and before we unpack these verses, I want to disclose what I feel the Lord is revealing to me. I believe that 2019 will be a year of restoration. God will restore what was stolen or lost. It will also be a year of redemption. I believe before 2019 is through, God is going to expose the wrongs to be made right. Not only in our own lives but in our nation too.
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”
If you have been waiting on God to restore what was stolen from you and you are ready to see God expose the things that have been wronged, and be made right. Now is the time to get in a quiet place and bring your case before the Lord. He is a compassionate God and loves you so very much. It is always His heart to bless His children. Our hope is in the Lord and I believe we will see our prayers answered. If you believe this, then say this prayer with me.
“Lord, I know that the battle is Yours and so I will wait patiently on You. I believe that You hear my prayers and You will come through on Your promises. Show me Your compassion and unfailing love. Through Your mercy, guide my every step and help me to make the correct choices this year so that I am obedient to Your will. I believe with all my heart that I will see that hope be fulfilled in 2019. Lord, You are my refuge and my portion. You are my strong tower in whom I fully trust. Because all my hope is in You, I will cast all my cares on You because You care for me. God, I look forward to seeing what You are about to do in my life and in this nation. I pray that justice will prevail and that any lies and coverups be exposed before 2019 is through. Restoration and redemption are Yours, Lord. Have Your way in me and Your let freedom reign in this nation, too. In Jesus name, amen.”
